2022 Cartersville Dances With the Stars

The 2022 Cartersville Dances With the Stars had the most successful year yet raising nearly $280,000 for Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter of Cartersville and Bartow County School Backpack Buddies. Celebrity Ballroom has been apart of this wonderful event since 2019. This is our 4th year volunteering our dance knowledge and coaching skills. This year, Milly Elkin-Crenshaw had the privilege of coaching Greg and Debbie Plimpton, owners of Cabins For You, for their dance routine. The Plimptons performed a Broadway Foxtrot to “Puttin’ On the Ritz” by Fred Astaire. They did fantastic and raised over $25,000 for the charities. The winner of the judges choice and peoples choice award this year was Danielle Graham dancing with her partner Steve Webb, who has been apart of this event every year since it began in 2012. Danielle was able to raise over $75,000! Incredible.
This year was also the 10th anniversary of Cartersville Dances With the Stars. The event honored the past winners of the judges choice awards and the peoples choice awards. Celebrity Ballroom has proudly helped 2 dancers in the last 4 years win the judges choice award. Joy Smith and Josh Crenshaw won the coveted trophy in 2019, while Carter & Keri Smith (coached by Milly Elkin-Crenshaw) snagged it with a perfect score in 2021.
Celebrity Ballroom has really felt welcomed by all who are apart of this event over these last four years. We look forward to helping out again in 2023 and bring more to the amazing charities in Bartow and Cherokee counties.
